Why?

Living in Toronto Canada, sunshine in a winter day is so precious. The snowstorm last night buried my car, but the sun came out this morning, it’s a good day to go out somewhere. The sunshine really boosts my mood and my energy.

I’ve been thinking about this for years. How do I make a difference to my life? How do I make a difference to my community? How do we hold each other accountable on the journey of healing? And how do we create something together and give people hope?

From my cycling journey this summer, I think I’ve got some answers. What’s personal is universal. Stories about showing up when you don’t even want to get out of the bed, stories about sharing and connection when you just want to be left alone at the corner, we all struggle sometimes but there is always another perspective that can shine light on the darkness and create space for us to process whatever we are experiencing.

I am going to use this space to share the lessons I learn, the people I meet, the stories I heard, the places I visit and hopefully it’s something meaningful not only to myself but to the community as well.

This is an exciting goal of my year.
